Jacinda Ardern Portrait
This portrait was inspired by Prime Minister of New Zealand Jacinda Ardern's exemplary leadership when addressing the Christchurch mosque mass shootings that occurred on March 15th, 2019. Series 2019. 6" W x 9" L. Black ink on eco-friendly, cold-pressed, heavyweight archival paper. Ships worldwide.
JACINDA'S BOLD MOVE
In a precedent-setting move, Prime Minister Ardern publicly vowed to "absolutely deny" giving the mosque gunman a platform. Instead, when speaking to Parliament, she stated: "I implore you; speak the names of those who were lost, rather than the name of the man who took them. He may have sought notoriety but we in New Zealand will give him nothing. Not even his name."
